He knew no peace, he was always on the move and it was the last thing he wanted for Bea. This led to some incredibly HOT moments between the couple that had me an ooey gooey mess. It was exactly the kind of reading experience I look for in a book and it left me buzzing to see what the author has in store for us next. Lori Brighton is an amazing author. Do yourself a favor and grab a copy. Happy reading! Jan 12, Blodeuedd Finland rated it liked it Shelves: historical-romance.

Will try to make this old review into the new format ; Plot: Leo and Ella, the couple we met in Wild Heart is back, well sort of back. They went to India in search of a statue, and answers. And they are in for a rocky start, she dislikes him and he thinks she is so English, all prim and i read this book a couple of months ago and finally, review time. And they are in for a rocky start, she dislikes him and he thinks she is so English, all prim and proper.

But soon they all must leave. There is danger concerning the statue and they are not the only ones looking. Little by little Bea and Colin are brought closer and closer together. My thoughts: It was fun to see Leo and Ella again, even if they were just introduced before they went away. Colin is all American; he is used to being on his own and always moving around.

Not to mention that just like his cousin, he too has a power, one hard to believe. Bea is nice, innocent, and she questions things a lot. But soon she sees the beauty of India and becomes quite the adventurer.

They are so very different from each other, but thrown together in a time of turmoil they find comfort in each other. This is a paranormal romance, and the paranormal comes from that Colin, and Ella have got powers. And as it shows in this book they are not the only ones. The statue they look for is supposed to hold riches, and a key to this is are the rings that they have in their possession, or had.

One does not have to read Wild Heart to understand Wild Desire; it starts as its own book and explains the things that need to be explained to follow along. Colin is a sweetheart, he may not even act like that, but his heart is so big, and I realize how big after reading on. He is also very wounded by the past.

Guys, I liked this book. A lot. I had read a short story set in this universe in Kiss Me, Kill Me review and I liked it enough to snap this one up when it briefly popped up as a free Kindle download. So what made it so enjoyable? Well, that's a good question. I liked Bea. She has that whole moneyed lady thing going for her until you realize that she's led an isolated, lonely life. Colin Guys, I liked this book. Colin was downright delectable.

I always root for the man who busts in on a naked lady and gives her a good kissing. Leo and Ella were ridiculously sweet and I can't wait to backtrack and read their story. This might shock some people but until recently I didn't even know there was a paranormal historical romance sub-genre.

I KNOW! What rock have I been living under?!?! Needless to say, finding this out opened up an entire world of unending surprises! As an aside, until a couple of years ago I had no idea that there were enough Zombie books out there to sate my unquenchable thirst for all things shambling and moaning.

  7. I mean, really! I love Zombies. How could I have not known about all those wonderful Zombie books? The point I'm trying to make is that I really enjoy the paranormal historical romance genre. Now, there doesn't seem to be a ton out there, but this one definitely hit the spot. Did I mention that I'm going to go read the first book in this series now? Free Kindle download. I really liked the unusual setting of India in this one, and it's a combination historical paranormal action romance, or whatever.

I even liked the characters, their personalities, their chemistry together, the balance of their strengths and weaknesses. What I found frustrating, though, was that a lot of the mystery — they whys and wherefores of the hero chasing after the statue Free Kindle download.

What I found frustrating, though, was that a lot of the mystery — they whys and wherefores of the hero chasing after the statue and all the danger surrounding this — was for the most part unexplained. And now that I've found out that this is the second book in a series, I suspect that much of this needed explanation was in the first book.

On the one hand, this lack of explanation added a little suspense to the story — you're compelled to read on to find out what on earth is going on. On the other hand, it was all needlessly bewildering. Why would these people continue to jeopardize their own lives over an artifact?
